Your survey is loaded with loaded questions like “End Lawsuit Abuse”? Well, maybe, but in what does “abuse” mean in this context to you? If it’s health care tort reform, then NO. If it’s something else, perhaps.
You should be advocating for competition in the health insurance marketplace – one of the things that is devastating small businesses is the astronomical cost and wild increase of health care costs by the insurance giants; the repeal or at least drastic reduction in the city wage tax and business privilege tax, more transparency in government and governmental procedures and policies, and that’s just the start.

Welcome Rob,
You’ve got big shoes to fill..Start off with a big membership drive to expand the Chamber.
Secondly,offer some really unique services to draw in new membership.
Ask for lots of help and suggestions from all the members.
Forget the big politico $75 lunches for members.Instead,invite the local politicans to speak “gratis” at a chamber breakfast at headquaters-not at a private club.
Start a weekly “ideas exchange”.Have the members email or fax news about bids,job openings,insider info,etc.
These are just a few thoughts to help you get started.
