On November 6, 2008 there’s going to be a party – not just any party. As the Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Finch Brands, it’s my job to stay out there and keep my company, Finch Brands, top of mind as the leading business & brand building firm. I’m at a lot of these events. There is no better event than this one. Why, you ask?
The bottom line is this: This isn’t just a party, it’s a celebration of business in our great city. And when I say business, I’m talking about the best kind – the kind that is born from spirit, drive and entrepreneurship.
It’s about giving a well-deserved 10 small businesses in greater Philadelphia a night to remember, in recognition of their accomplishments. (more…)

It was a beautiful night for a party at Dave & Buster’s for attendees at the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s Business after Hours. Management had the place all decked out for the holidays, and vendors of all kinds were there to showcase their party wares. A DJ, Gaming tables, a magician, a psychic, and lots and lots of great food made for a fun evening on the waterfront. Thanks to the D&B folks for their incredible hospitality.
Were YOU there? If not, you missed a great event. Click here to view photos.
Make sure you sign up for the next one, at the Please Touch Museum in Memorial Hall, October 29, 2008. I’ll be there, look for me!

September Go Green Tips for Businesses September 4, 2008

Remember the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
- Reuse: Use canvas bags instead of paper or plastic. Canvas bags are healthier for the environment and fashion friendly!
- Reduce: Take advantage of car sharing with PhillyCarShare. If you have a meeting during the day, you can reserve a car for a few hours rather than drive from your home to work, to the meeting, and back.
- Reduce: When ordering supplies for new employees, consider ordering a smaller amount of business cards for people who will not give them out often.
- Recycle: Use recycled or FSC-certified paper for event invitations, letterhead, business cards, notepads, stationery, and printer paper. When ordering supplies, choose recycled and/or recyclable products.
