Watch Out Boston!

When compared to the Top 25 Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs), the Greater Philadelphia region was ranked 2nd only to Boston on the number of Bachelor’s and First Professional degrees awarded, per capita. These stats and more are available in a new, first-of-its kind research study recently released by Select Greater Philadelphia.  An affiliate of the Chamber, Select is the non-profit, economic development marketing organization that promotes the region as a top-tier location for businesses.  The in-depth research study demonstrates, in specific terms, the strength of this region’s higher education sector and its direct effects on the region’s economy. For example, the study found that colleges in the region are expecting to spend $3.7 billion on capital projects over the next 5 years, excluding the Penn Connect project.
